The ITAM Forum Drafts the World’s First ITAM ISO/IEC 19770-1 Certification Scheme

The ITAM Forum, the professional body for the advancement of the global IT Asset Management industry, has reached the final steps in the development of the world’s first, independent, globally-recognized ISO/IEC 19770-1 certification scheme for organizations.

Nearly 100 volunteering ITAM professionals (who comprise the Committee of Experts) and NEN (Royal Netherlands Standardization Institute) have helped draft the scheme and ready it for validation.

As the MD of Softline Group Northern Europe (an ITAM Forum Patron), Dennis has spent his career delivering services to customers and advising them during their SAM/ITAM journeys. He also promotes the ITAM ISO 19770 standard as the framework needed to do SAM and ITAM properly.

New ISO ITAM Standards Committee White Paper: ITAM and Sustainable IT

The ISO ITAM Standards Committee recently published a new white paper focused on how ITAM can contribute towards sustainability. Rather than a thought-leadership piece, and one purely focused on energy consumption, this white paper addresses the full lifecycle impact of IT services. This includes the raw materials that go into building software, hardware and cloud services. It also touches on the environmental impact of creating IT services in the first place.
