As the ITAM professional within your organization, your success and impact depends on your relationship with different stakeholders. The most important groups you should be working with span from C-level functions (CIO, CFO, CPO, CSO) to procurement/sourcing teams, legal (internal or external), business owners, and technical staff (database administrators, infrastructure/virtualization managers, public cloud managers, application owners).

Who would have thought that when the ITAM Forum launched back in 2020, so much would be achieved within just two years! Much of this success is down to all of you, the global ITAM community. Thank you!

2022 has been a tremendous year for us, but we’re gearing up for 2023 to be even better with the introduction of the world’s first, globally-recognised and accepted ISO/IEC 19770-1 certification scheme. More information about the scheme is below, but we’d first like to shout about some of our other 2022 achievements. None of these would have been possible if it wasn’t for you…our members, trustees and patrons…and the world-wide ITAM community.

Flexera (an ITAM Forum Patron) recently released the findings of its second annual Flexera State of ITAM Report. More than 500 IT executives from around the world – who manage and participate in ITAM, SAM and HAM processes in organizations of 1,000+ employees – participated in this survey. 59% came from the U.S.A. and 17% (the highest figure) from the Financial Services industry.

Rachel has more than 25 years of software, hardware, licensing and ITAM programme design and strategy experience. At Danske Bank, she manages a team responsible for all asset management activity. She is an ITAM Forum Trustee and a member of the judging panel at the SAM Awards Europe. In 2021, her team won the Project of the Year award at the ITAM Excellence Awards.
